Oh street light so elegant yet ignored.

Asking to be seen, lighting the way for others. They stripped you of your identity dear friend. I see the reminants of you on the street as I cross from sidewalk to sidewalk. You warm up a cold night and the role you’ve played in our lives, while often times overlooked, will never be
forgotten.
How many people do you know, how many have you seen, how much life have you graced? If not for you how many great ideas would’ve been washed away by the dead of night.
How many late night lovers would have never met?

Oh street light forgive me that this piece be the best I can
do to honor you. Just know that you are not
a forgotten relic from a farway time, but a consistent member  of our community.
A literal pillar. Continue to shine.
